21 May 2026 – Chosely Drying Barns, Blakeney Point and Morston and Thornham

We started off around Chosely Dryng Barns to see if we could get Grey Partridge but we couldn’t! It is interesting that the field is back to its old usage after a brief outing as a piggery and looks like it used to do when we used to see Dotterel there. Perhaps it was a way of fertilizing it during a fallow year?

We drove down to Blakeney Point and Morston to have a look and got very good views of a couple of Little Terns plunging into the water by the harbour. Anne went for a walk whilst I sat and had a cup of teal at the delightful Elsie’s. When she got back from her walks, she sat at the Crab Shack next to Elsies for a Crab Salad.

One last visit to Thornham Old Harbour to see if I could find my lost specs (of course not) and then it was back home via the Railway for a pint.
